On Monday, I had the pleasure of attending a community meeting in Hamble organised by Hamble Parish Council to discuss the plans for mineral extraction at Hamble Airfield.
Along with the Parish Council, I was joined by representatives from Hampshire County Council (HCC), Eastleigh Borough Council and 200 residents. This shows the strength of opposition locally to these plans and I was delighted to speak and share my own objections with members of the community. You can read my letter of objection to Cemex here.
My advice to all residents is to respond to the consultation being run by HCC, while it is still running and make your voice heard.
I firmly believe that together, we can stop these plans for mineral extraction and save Hamble Airfield from this damaging application for mineral extraction.
