More police officers for Hampshire and new local police stations will mean a more effective police force in our area. Hampshire Police have 600 extra officers thanks to increased government funding and have recently reopened the station in Park Gate – plus a new station for Eastleigh is coming soon.
Paul has also been working with the police to tackle antisocial driving. People racing their cars and motorbikes at high speeds around our roads at night causes significant noise and disturbance – as well as considerable risk to pedestrians and other drivers, as they often run red lights and weave dangerously through traffic. Neighbourhood policing teams are now carrying out regular patrols and surveillance in affected areas under Operation Juno.
