Today I was delighted to meet Haydn, a constituent of mine and an apprentice at Leonardo Aerospace company at an event in Parliament. It was great to hear his enthusiasm for his course and excitement at taking up a job offer with them once he is finished with his apprenticeship.
The event highlighted the rich aviation heritage that Leonardo holds and the invaluable contributions it has made to the development and progression of the British helicopter industry.
It was great to see how continued investment in Leonardo’s UK helicopter manufacturing is creating jobs through the rotary wing supply chain across the UK, boosting social mobility, and building world-beating military hardware.
