Yesterday I proposed a new law to Parliament that would put extra checks and balances in place for Council housing developments like One Horton Heath. It simply cannot be right for Councils to award themselves planning permission, build out new houses and then keep the profits.
We really need some independent scrutiny and transparency in this process, not local authorities like Eastleigh Borough Council marking their own homework.
