Many constituents have contacted me in recent months about the challenge in securing face-to-face GP appointments and the difficulty of using 'e-consult' forms. While this shift away from in person appointments was understandable during the pandemic, I believe it is right that we get back to offering face-to-face, in person appointments as normal now that restrictions are eased.
I was pleased to hear the Secretary of State for Health recognise this concerns and talk about some of the initiatives being considered to help support this return to normal.
