I was delighted to visit Shamblehurst Primary School today and meet with Year 5 pupils who have been learning about crime and punishment including how laws are made.
There were some great questions asked about my role as an MP, the war in Ukraine, the environment, climate change and how we can help animals.
I had a full 45 minutes of being grilled - it was more nerve-racking than being in the Chamber - and I was really impressed by the children's thirst for knowledge.
I always love visiting local schools; it gives me the opportunity to listen to our children's concerns and answer such challenging questions!
Thanks for having me and hope to see you again soon.
