I welcome the decision by Hampshire’s Conservative Cabinet today who have rejected proposals to close our local Household Waste and Recycling Centres in Hedge End.
This is something I pledged to fight to stop and so I am very pleased we have got this positive resolution.
I know that the County Council has bold plans to improve recycling across Hampshire in the next four years, Cabinet felt that any change to the HWRC network needed to be taken into account alongside these emerging schemes.
