I am very pleased to see that new lighting will be installed under the bridge on Stoneham Lane by Highways England. The current crossing provision for the new football complex at Stoneham Lane does need to be improved and the new lighting under the bridge of the M27 will make a real difference. I am pleased to have worked with Highways England, Hampshire FA and local football clubs to bring forward the date of these repairs to the lights and am looking forward to the work starting imminently.

Longer term, we do still need a better crossing from the car parks on Stoneham Lane to the Football Complex. I am continuing to work with Hampshire County Council, Hampshire FA and all those involved at Stoneham Lane on what this solution looks like. For now, I am pleased to see the current improvements are going ahead.
