Having secured the funding in November for the M27 resurfacing project, I am delighted that my work with campaigners like Jerry Hall and local residents has paid off and the project will start this summer.
Laying a new quiet road surface on the concrete section will make such a difference to people living in Hedge End and West End and improve their quality of life enormously.
I am pleased to see that this Conservative Government is delivering for the people of Eastleigh.
I'm meeting with Highways England at the end of March and will share further details then but the project should take 2-3 years to complete. Highways England are appointing contractors to carry out the various elements of the project. It will be brilliant for local residents to see this promise become a reality.
