Yesterday I asked the Secretary of State for Housing, Angela Rayner, why Labour are planning a massive surge in housebuilding in already over-developed areas like Hamble Valley, especially in a local authority like Eastleigh Borough Council who have a built up a huge debt by buying land for houses. Labour are encouraging councils like Eastleigh to up their housing targets and build more near you! I will fight these reckless plans and I am calling for Labour and the Lib Dems to stop playing games with planning reform.
